The building complex was completed in 1991 and constituted a point of reference because of its excellent location but also because of its design and architecture, especially the characteristic concrete claustrau developing on the facades. The asset was acquired by Grivalia Properties in 2000 and hosts the Company’s headquarters in one of the buildings of the complex. In 2014, Grivalia decided to invest in its existing portfolio of assets, by allocating capital for asset upgrading, thus targeting an improved carbon footprint of its operation. The said building complex, which is being renamed to Green Plaza was the first of Grivalia’s portfolio of assets selected for upgrade. The goal of the redevelopment was the operational and aesthetic revival of the asset and its modernization in terms of energy efficiency. Upon completion of the relevant works the asset has become a model of sustainable development and working environment in the real estate sector. Green Plaza, was the first project in Greece to be certified GOLD according to the LEED version for Core & Shell, the special LEED version applied to assets intended for lease.
